GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
A printout (color where applicable) or laser copies IS REQUIRED for us to put your job into production. Send a fax, email a low-res pdf or for four-color process mail a color proof.
When sending a fax, make sure they are readable and send a 2-up sample to show direction of feed and numbering, as well as a mock-up of any piece to be created by the Toledo Ticket graphics department.
Files can be MAC or PC compatible and created in an approved program. All other programs will incur additional costs for conversion. Include a list of disk contents.
If you have imported any .tifs (300 dpi @ 100%) or .eps (300 dpi vectorized) files into your page layout program, please include these as separate files on your disk, and do not embed them into the page layout.
NOTE: If spot colors (Pantone Matching System colors) are to be used, please name them, e.g. "PMS 300." If no spot color is listed, we will choose an ink color based on what is seen on the monitor, or on a provided color printout and do not guarantee a perfect match.
NOTE: All trapping between colors will be added by our prepress department. Trapping for flexographic or silk screen printing is not the same as for offset printing and will have to be adjusted to meet our needs.
Be sure to include copies of all fonts used in your files off on your disks. If fonts are Postscript, please include both "screen" fonts (also known as "bitmaps" or "suitcases") as well as the printer fonts. Be sure to include any fonts that are in your eps files, or convert them to paths.
Please include 1/8" bleed on all colors and images that go to the edge of your trim size.
Do not use patterned fills from any program. They will not print.
